Post #2 "Race and Gender Critcism"

After reading this article, I think that the work of women and people of color is really over looked. I never really paid attention to how people's art work was valued because I though art was just art no matter who made it. There is no specific way to judge some ones art so I think that the discrimination is wrong. I personally believe that no ones work should be over looked because at the end of the day art is what you think it is. Every one has there own definition of art so there are going to be multiple expressions of it. I think all art work should be looked at and valued based upon the work and not the creator. As time goes on i really do hope that this does not continue. A lot of good talent is going to be over looked if so. No matter what gender you are or what race you are your art work should not be discriminated against.
