Post #3 "Bloom's Taxonomy for Art"

Knowledge- There is a picture of two dove birds and it looks they are flying in the night sky.
Understanding- The meaning I got from this picture is peace. When i think of doves it always remind me of a peaceful setting.
Application- If I got an opportunity to interview the artist the questions I would ask are:
 1) What or who inspired you to design the work?
  2) Why did you use doves as a symbol?
3)What message do you want people to get when they see the painting?

Post #2 "Race and Gender Critcism"

After reading this article, I think that the work of women and people of color is really over looked. I never really paid attention to how people's art work was valued because I though art was just art no matter who made it. There is no specific way to judge some ones art so I think that the discrimination is wrong. I personally believe that no ones work should be over looked because at the end of the day art is what you think it is. Every one has there own definition of art so there are going to be multiple expressions of it. I think all art work should be looked at and valued based upon the work and not the creator. As time goes on i really do hope that this does not continue. A lot of good talent is going to be over looked if so. No matter what gender you are or what race you are your art work should not be discriminated against.

I remember my first art experience occurred while I was in the second or third grade. We were given an assignment to make flower pots. I used clay and sculpted the clay into the best flower pot that I could possibly make. After the clay was sculpted we got to take the clay home and my mom helped me to put the flower pot in the oven. I let the flower pot bake for a few hours and when i took it out it felt like glass. Then I painted the flower pot and put all kinds of designs on there. After that my flower pot was ready to be used. That is how I remember my very first art experience.
